A warm welcome is guaranteed at this genuine 'local' pub (one of a dying breed!) Run by Jilly O'Gorman and her daughter Sarah, The Spotted as it is known to it's patrons has been recently refurbished, has a lovely garden and patio area, and offers a substantial lunchtime menu, convivial atmosphere and having just battled for an entertainments licence (and won!) is in the process of booking easy on the ear, middle of the road music to be featured on Friday evenings. You can dance, and yes you can even talk without being overwhelmed with the sound of music. They are soon to launch an evening menu, pub food for those who wish to eat rather than 'dine'.

A two course Sunday lunch for £6'95, that is one of the best in St Albans, served from 12.30 to 5.00 ( its a good idea to book as this is a popular venue.) The Spotted Bull is a great pub for couples and the over 30s.
